OS4X Release 2026-02-03 can be downloaded online from the website www.os4x.com/downloads, the OS4Xvirtual images and the Docker containers are updated.
Current changes are:
- OS4X Core:
- ⊕ New: The definitions of OFTP2 ciphers 6 to 10 receive new presets for „simple“ and „complex“.
- ↑ Improved: Use of openSSL 3.6.1 including all security bug fixes contained therein.
- ↑ Improved: The readability of the transferred file size is improved by converting (previously) kB to MB or GB.
- ↑ Improved: PDX’s functionality has been made more compatible with other OFTP2 systems.
- OS4X Enterprise:
- ⊕ New: Added compatibility with Volvo Truck ENGDAT packages. Additionally, files without filenames in the ENGDAT are named according to their compression characteristics.
- ⊕ New: Server-side file selection now also supports the username as a variable in the directory name.
- ↑ Improved: The „ENGDATv2 encode“ plugin has been modified to include numerous options for modifying the UNB segment.
- ↑ Improved: When file uploads are completed in OS4X Webaccess, the display of the transfer speed is now radically removed when the progress reaches 100%.
As the latest version of OS4X available, we recommend to update to this version as fast as possible.
